My name is Emma, and I’m a junior at Macalester College in Saint Paul, MN. This blog is going to be my journal of my experience while studying at University College Cork, Ireland. I while be studying both music and geology (my majors) while abroad, so expect many pictures and stories relating to both! If you have any questions, please feel free to ask, and I’ll do my best to answer them.
Em, Having just read all of your adventures, I must say that, somehow, I am not surprised to find you so fully engaged in such a diverse and interesting life. I am very happy for you and hope that you continue to engage and enjoy life with as much gusto as you have shown here.
While you you were an amazing and wonderful teen when we last met, you are a lovely young lady now and headed, I am sure, down the Road of Life towards a great deal of happiness and fulfillment. Keep up the good work!
Thanks for the excellent tour of my ancestral lands and culture. Glad you appreciate them so much and in such an eloquently down-to-earth narrative. I have learned more about Ireland just catching up on your blog than I have anything else in quite a while.
Your Mom and Dad must be very happy following your adventures in almost-realtime…and quite proud, too. As soon as your Mom (not my most timely or regular correspondent) wrote me with your blogsite, yesterday, I hopped on it and have spent the morning catching up on your adventures.
